TV turns on and off immediately after??

What we call a thermal problem----if a 17 inch likely not cost effective to repair and company who made it in China does not really sell parts.

Lay unit flat on table, remove stand and rear cover. When you remove back, you will see a power supply board in the middle of the set.There are (3)1000mfd @25 volt electroltics and (1)220mfd @16 volt electrltyic that have to be replaced to return to normal operation. This is not something to try if you are a novice as you must observe polarity when installing these caps. But this repair WILL return set to normal operation.

sounds like a capacitor problem, they sometimes dont work cold but work ok when they are warmed up. i would not recommend anyone unfamiliar with tv repair and its safety procedures open up a tv set because of the lethal voltages present inside, even when unplugged it can hold a charge for months.

power supply issue..may be some bad capacitors simply replace them....dada....your prob solved

In trying to program a universal remote for my Hi-Sense TV, the TV locked. How can I unlock it?

I, also, have the Hisense LCD 1504 and cannot turn it on with the original remote. I have to use the ON button on the side every morning. You have to hold this button in for a while then wait a while and presto, the blue button shows on the front and the picture comes on. If it fails to work the first try, just try try again. It does work for me this way. We had this same experience with the TV in our room at a Hotel where we were on vacation and the TV worked fine when we turned it on using the side ON button. It just takes a while for the picture to appear. Hope this clue will help someone.

To unlock your Tl2020 with a universal remote just go into the menu and select V chip setting. The password from the factory is four zeros (0 0 0 0 ). Once you get in you will the letter "B" nect to everything. Set everything to the letter "U". Then, turn off the television. The set should be unlocked now. Good luck !
