Green Spot I have a Panasonic PT-44LCX65 HDTV. It has developed a "GREEN SPOT" in the lower left area of the display. It is mostly visible when there are lighter colors in the general area. It is completely invisible when there arevery dark colors in the general area.

I have a PT 44LCX65 and there is a green shaped square near the top left corner and it tends to be completely visible on completely white or bright colors but is completely invisibe when dark or darker colors are in that area... what causes this and what could this be a bulb problem if in fact im still viewing a beautiful picture w/ the exception of this green demon area???

I believe the issue can be resolved by contacting Panasonic. Word is, the optic board needs an EEPROM upgrade. It's a quick fix (by a Panasonic technician) and it even be for no charge (confirm it with Panasonic!).

THAT IS GOING TO MOST LIKELY BE A PROBLEM WITH THE OPTICAL ENGINE AND PANASONIC HAD SEVERAL MODELS THAT HAD PROBLEMS WITH EEPROM CORRUPTION THERE WAS A RECALL TYPE OF EXTENDED WARRANTY I SUGGEST CALLING PANASONIC THEY WILL SEND SOMEONE OUT TO FIX IT MOST LIKELY FREE OF CHARGE :)

Panasonic pt-61lcx65 green spot

This may be a main board issue if the green spot moves. This is repairable. This may be a panel issue if it does not move and it is present on the panasonic splash screen and if it affects the osd menu.

I have a PT44LX65, Green and blue spot after lamp changed

It is better to contact your local Panasonic authorized service center. This issue is easy fix by connecting special Panasonic-issued tool (programmer) to restore corrupted file in EEPROM inside of your TV. Rear cover have to be removed, tool plugged in service socket and 15 minutes later your screen will be as good as new.
Without this tool - I would say it's impossible unless you have experience in hacking memory devices. And still got to find original file and download it into EEPROM.
Good luck!

Light green and pink spots on my hd tv!!!

For the spots....

I had the same problem, first a blue spot then a green spot showed up. I contacted Panasonic Customer Support. They sent someone out and they fixed the TV for free. They reprogrammed the EEPROM chip in the TV. It is a defect. My TV was 4 years old and out of warranty. They came out last week.

So long as it is not happening by something you have done. It will be fixed free of charge. Call them, it solves the problem.

Spots on picture

I had the same problem. Panasonic is kind of a pain about the whole thing. You have to find out who your local Panasonic repair place is, tell them there is a service bulletin and they will get on it. You must be diligent! Do not take no for an answer! If it comes down to it, and the repair shop won't do it for you, then call Panasonic and endure a loooooong wait time. Trust me though...this is the issue. Once the eeprom gets fixed/updated/whatever, the picture looks amazing! Good luck.
