Rony, it sounds like your CD drive is dead or dying. Or, you might be running on low power. Did you add anything new, like a new video card, or anything else that would draw power to it?
make sure that the cd-rw burner is getting enough power test all leads that are attached to the dvd burner including electical extensions and make sure they have a secure connection or just replace them there might bebad/faulty or your drivers may have been corrupted or you might have a virus run your antivrus program you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd-rw burner then plug them back in or you might have to uninstall then reinstall your DVD/CD or uninstall the driver then reinstall for this device control panel admistrive tools, computer management, device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives right click you can you can update driver, roll back driver,or select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem Close all open programs
Click on Start, Run, and typeregedit and press Enter Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SYSTEM
CurrentControlSet
Control
Class
{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.
Upper Filters
Lower Filters
Upper Filters.bak
Lower Filters.bak If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete
After deleting the keys, close the registry editor Reboot your computer Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.
The drive has power but either a dead data cable (IDE), a loose data cable (on one side or the other) or a bad connector (either on the motherboard or the drive).
The most common is the loose cable. Open the case and make sure it is firmly connected to the motherboard and the drive. This can be a pain since the motherboard IDE connector could be hard to reach due to other components. Also, you may need to slide the drive forward in the cage to be able to reach - depending on your case this could involve removing the screws and then replacing them after sliding the drive back.)
If that doesn't work, then try a new cable. One IDE cable can connect to two different devices; most computer builds have only one drive on a cable. Make sure to match the colors or labels so that you maintain the correct master/slave/motherboard connections. The last option is to replace the drive with a new one.
Try this driver: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/search/supportSearchResultView.do?group=&group_cd=&type=&type_cd=&subtype=&subtype_cd=&model_nm=SW-252&dType=D&mType=&model_cd=&menu=download&prd_ia_cd=&disp_nm=SW-252&isEqualsY=
stick a straight paperclip into the tiny hole in front a few times. This manually rotates the gears and will eject the cd tray.
If it does not still come out because of the jammed CD - you may need to use force!!

May be there are some cable fault. Just check that the cable CD-RW to Motherboard and the power cable from SMPS attached in CD-RW is ok. Then try. If it works then fine. If not, then just format C drive(Or where u have installed the OS). Coz I've already gone through a problem like this. In that case the cables ware ok. Then I just format the C drive and install a fresh copy of XP. And works fine till now.Let me know the result.
