There is some problem in your message setting number, please verify with your operator if its correct. As messages are being saved in outbox; that means that message are not being sent. Please do ask if you have any other query. Have a nice day!
Go your message setting. There is option where you'll save your message and choose save to memory card. Delete all message in inbox and outbox folder, delete all cache in your browser and close all active applications. Try to send text message. If the notification "Memory full" still appear you must uninstall a one or more application (not just close it but uninstall it) to make some space in your phone memory. Choose application that you don't use the most. If the problem persist, format your phone back to factory setting.
for sending text messages : 1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct 2. call to your network operator customer care 3. request the message center number... 4.note it down 5. go to message settings>message center number 6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it

Try downloading Txtract from the G1 Market. It's listed under "tools". Use this application to save the text messages you've been hoarding to your SD card, then delete the text messages from your phone. Your G1 will work like new again!
well restore to factory settings and it will work i had the same problem , but before save all numbers to mem card or else you will lose all ya numbers
selct the memory to memory card (ie message memory) u are saying 15 mb is free in memory card but what about the phone memory.. got to message > options >settings>other settings> then select memory in use select phone meory and try to resend message again
