Problem:-
User's modem does not dial or does not connect.
Tip:-
Prove that computer is connected with phone line and check that phone line contains dial tone.Therefor check that connection is connect or not.
- Connection may not be less than six feet (1.8 meter).
- Check dial tone by plug in the phone in phone jack.
- If user has many more services (such as call waiting,call messaging OR voice mail) then check that these all are cleared or not and check call waiting is disabled while using modem.
- Disconnect any answering machine,fax machine or printer which are on line with modem.
- Check that are you not using digital,rollover or PBX line?These type of lines not works with modem.
- Try with another phone line. (For this, you have another phone number or another phone line).If user connected with another line then you need to complain in phone company.
- Try to connect modem with low connection speed.
