My phone is fairly new ( a few months old) and for some reason the charger wont charge when I plug it in. I've tried unplugging it, putting it in different outlets, taking the battery in and out etc but nothing seems to work. Is this a problem with my phone or my charger?

Dell uses proprietary equipment. IF the laptop wont work when plugged in and it is the original Dell charger, you need to check the charger, if the charger wont work then the battery wont charge. Note that it might be the connection on the board inside the laptop especially if the cord got pulled on while plugged into the laptop.

even i have got the same problem. Its two weeks old and is not getting charged. I.ve tried both the regular charger and the usb cable to charge it. Guess will have to take it to the service station.

Have you tried replacing the battery? It sounds like the charger circuit is attempting to charge the battery and the battery is not accepting the charge.

If it does not work with the Charger while the battery is out then I would say either your charger is bad, the dc power jack where the charger plugs into the laptop is bad or you've got motherboard issues. Does the charger have a light on it to indicate that it is on when plugged in the wall? Do you see any lights when you plug the charger into the laptop?

Take an ink pen and see if the little pin inside the computer where the charger plugs is loose and moves a bit. If so that is probably your problem. If the pin is tight and the charger works, then you've got motherboard issues.

Phone not charging.
Hello, when a phone does not charge, it means that the phone charger or the port at which the charger is inserted in the phone is faulty.

Might be due to dust or dirt. You can Clean charging port on the phone with a brush and alcohol to remove dirt.

After cleaning it,if still not charging, you can test charger with another phone to be sure if the charger is working. And if charger works with another phone,that means the charging port on the phone is faulty and will need to replaced.

Well you seem to have done the hard bit.Either charger or battery you`ve tested.

Just had one thought,How long was the battery out of the phone?

So put the phone in a warm room for 2-3 hrs.As condensation can form in the phone. Firstly remove the battery and check there`s no moisture anywhere.

The last solution I can think of is to try a battery in the phone ,plug the charger in and try charging for 3 hours. It can take time for the graphics to appear.

Well after it not being the battery,charger it will be the phone. So take it back to your retailer and ask for a replacement.

Hi have you tried to charge the phone What hapens ?

1. could be that the charger is not outputing the proper current an longer may need to purchase a new charger for the Cell Phone.

2 try to charge the battery in a different phone if possible maybe a friend has the same brand otherwise only one option left buy a new battery and chage it if it works then problem is fairly simmple
the old battery has reached the end of its life and will not charge !

Hey i think i just figured out the problem to all the port charging issues for the envy and envy 2 phones with verizon. its not the phones, its the charger cord! the part that goes into the phone. it gets pulled out over time from pulling the cord out of the phone all the time. get a pair of pliers. grab the end and push the metal end of the cord against somthing hard, push it back in so it is at the appropriate depth. this should make it charge properly again!

it is technical problem pleas go to sarvice center and replace u r handset cause it is in warrenty dont try to open it, or change with new battery
