Not working correctly?

I received the Evenflo Mist Vaporizor 673000 from a friend...when I plug it in, nothing appears to happen. I don't have the directions so I am not sure if it should instantly shoot out mist or does it take a good amount of time to "heat up"?

Gee thanks....now if only I had thought of that...of course it was full of water and plugged in.

well i have start somewhere. it sounds like your heater is damaged, it could have ran out off water before you had it. [shorted element]

I got the Crane Cool Mist humidifier - drop shape in blue. Although i can feel a small amount of air coming out from the spout, mist is not visible, not a bit.

if you can hear the fun noise, you need to check major circuit, should be bad capacitor. if no noise at all, replace the fun.
actually they have very good customer service. just contact by email or phone, tell them what's happened, they should give you a RMA number, put the tank cap and cut small piece of power cable, send to them, you will receive a brand new humidifier within couple weeks. even your machine slightly out of warranty.

The vaporizor is plugged in. I just refilled the tank and turned it back on and it is not working. There is an orange light surrounding the control dial. How do I reset it

Turn it off for a few minutes then turn it back on. If it it works for a short time then turns orange again you need to clean the heating element. It will have a brown crust that builds up over time.

Humidifier

I have the evenflo cool mist humidifier, model # 758100. There should be a model number on the unit. As far as replacement filters, you can buy the Holmes humidifier filter, model # HWF62. It's compatible with Evenflo. I bought a 2-pk at Target for $15.99. Hope this helps.

Most likely this unit is manufactured by Jarden who now owns Sunbeam, Mr.coffee , Oster, Etc. Contact your local small appliance dealer for Sunbeams 800#.They should be able to supply you with a use and care manual.
