    thanks for the idea,

I checked out the manual after downloading it (and the updated driver) from samsung, troubleshooting pointed towards a fault with the screen, samsung is replacing screen FOC as is still under warranty,

    Thanks Benimur

    Hi,

I have a Samtron 94v and it worked perfectly for over a year. I use a dual display setup and suddenly the only thing the samtron displays is the following message: Not optimal mode: use reccomended mode: 1024x1248, 60 hz. The strange thing is that I already used this screen in these settings. When I kill the power by pulling out the plug and then plug it back in again, the monitor starts to work for just over a minute but then it starts to give exactly the same error message. I've tried everything; installing new drivers for the video card and the monitor, setting the frequency and resolution as low as possible and using the monitor on a different computer but nothing seems to work. Help please!

    Thank you so much!

My Samtron 94v monitor worked perfectly for more than two years. But after a while it displays the following message: Not optimal mode: use reccomended mode:
1024x1248, 60 Hz. I use these settings, but in spite of that it ignores the correct ones. Help please, what the problem can be!

    Thank you in advance!
    vimi

I found the Problem, its a fault in all of these LCDs. The Powersupply is overheating! Once it cools down it works again. I've gone and built an 80mm fan into the LCD. After testing the LCD dissasmbled and with a 120mm fan I found that as soon as I held the fan onto the PSU a few seconds later the picture would come back. It's probably unstable voltages. But if it's cooled, all is ok.

I have the same problem with my 94V monitor, It always shows the box with the resolution, and often I can use my PC with TV display.
But the strange thing is, that I use this monitor for about 3 years, and I never had such problems, just int he last couple of months.
My monitor is still under warranty. Have a chance to repair or replace it with a new one?
Pls, help

Hi,

Perhaps other than the screen resolution you need to also lower down the refresh rate (found in the advanced tab of the display properties).

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I am trying to clone my lapptop image with a samtron 73.v and the samtron seems dead :-( It says Test Good but does not work

Most laptops have three video-settings:
* output only to internal screen
* output only to external monitor
* output to both internal and external

Select the appropriate video-setting.

Set your laptop's screen-resolution to 800-by-600 by 60Hz -- a resolution that should be compatible with any 15" Samtron monitor.

I can not adjust the resolution in my samtron 55v i run xp on my pc

In Xp right click on the desktop and select Properties->Settings->Resolution. Here you will get all the options that the combination of your display adapter and monitor can take. select any that you want and Windows will show to the new resolution and ask you if you like it. Accept if you like it else Cancel it and select one lower or higher till you are satisfied. Go up one notch at a time.

Black screen with box of 'Suggested resolution 1280 x 1040 60Hz'

The Samtron 73V has a maximum resolution of 1280*1024, are you running at that resolution ?

Monitor connection

there is a great possibility that your resolution or refresh rates are set too high for the monitor to display properly... boot the computer in safe mode and change the resolution and refresh rates to a lower setting or the recomended setting for the monitor.. 73 and good luck.

Samtron 94v 19nch problem helpppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

If it's still under warranty I would call for repair service. It sounds like typical internal power supply trouble that needs electrical troubleshooting.
