Very common problem with their software - they try to force you to purchase better stuff. For starters, try Corell Video Studio to see if it works better - it has a free 30 day trial period. I use it, and find that it is among the better packages to use.

Did you mean you are recording video and audio using your Television set? I'm afraid that dazzle is not design to used if for capturing or even capturing using Windows Movie maker. Because dazzle device is design to used for Pinnacle Studio program and Instant DVD recorder program only, It is not supported to used for both of them. That is the reason why there is no Picture while recording.
you need to connect rca jacks or the mini jacks to the anolog side of your sound card and the 9 pin connector will use for video to capture aslo if your using windows movie maker you need to select the imput type and mpeg 2 or mpeg3.
Make sure that the connections is properly connected. Just to inform you that if your connection is S-video you will not be getting sound.

A lot of times Dazzle provides a calibration program for video and sound. See if you can run that.
There usually is a seperate audio capture control. If you go to your sound mixer and check the recording settings, is the audio capture from the Dazzle selected?
