Changing the cartridge

Turn on the machine, with no cartridge installed. Roll the Speed, Size and Pressure dials all the way down to the lowest possible setting on each. Grab the blade assembly with two fingers and pull the carriage gently all the way to the left. Behind where the carriage usually sits is a red button. Press and hold the button for three to five seconds and release. Go back to the three dials marked Speed, Size and Pressure, and roll each one all the way up and down three or four timesPress the Cut button, then turn off the machine. Let the machine sit for 15 to 20 minutes to clear the memoryLoad a cartridge, turn the machine back on and try it out. If you are still experiencing problems, you may have a defective machine.

each printer cartridge has several pages lifetime. if the cartridge is empty if u refill it the printer starts showing non samsung. but u can still print. if not printing at all replace the cartridge with original one.

> low toner

It means that the toner-cartridge, which holds the dry toner-ink, is nearly empty.

Remove the toner-cartridge, and gently roll it from side-to-side -- DO NOT SHAKE IT.

Replace it, and use it, until it's completely empty. Then, buy a new toner-cartridge.

LSU ERROR on this machine means that the Laser Unit is fauly and needs to be replaced.
You can call for a tech or can take the printer to a printer service.

Make sure the electrical contacts where the cartridge fits into the machine aren't bent or dirty. If necessary gently pry them out a bit to make sure they have good contact.

check the reader connection where the printer reads the cartridge . Ink sometime spills on theis surface causing misreads by the printer , clean it with either a diaper wipe or some alcol wipe GENTLY on the connector/and cartridge connector and reinstall the cartridges.

what you may have to do is clean the rollers, good place to clean is where you insert the cartridges, open the lid so the machine thinks your going to repalce the ink, cut the power from the mains, now you can proceed to to clean the inside, remove both in cartradges and clean where they instert, toilet roll or kitchen roll will do because they soak up the ink, then, and be very gentle, slide the mechanism to the left hand side so you can clean underneath, after cleaning power the printer up so that it still thinks you are changing the ink, the cartridge housing should be where you can access them so you can the put the ink back in, then you need to use the the lexmark software to re-align the cartridges and also print a test page, keep on doing this until the inkjets are performing properly

If you make a copy, does the copy have dark areas down the middle of the page? If so, remove the toner cartridge and gently roll it around to redistribute the toner inside, maybe even replace the toner cartridge if you've had it a long while. If you still see unevenness, you may need to have the machine looked at.

If the copies you make on your machine look fine, then I would suspect that the person sending you the fax has a dirty scanning element. Check with them to see if they can clean the scanning element and it should improve the fax quality.
