Memory card is always full even though it is new

I brought a new memory card for my DXG 4.0 megapixel camrea and every time I try to take a picture the camera says that the memory card is full - even though it is a brand new card. How can I get it to work again?

Hi, The solution is to format the memory card or initialize the memory card. Note formatting the memory card will delete all the pictures or data stored. Formatting memory card
1. Press the MENU button in any mode.
2. Move the 5-way scroll button to the right and press the confirm button to enter the SETUP menu.
3. Move the 5-way scroll button down and enter the FORMAT menu. Press the confirm button and the "Format?" dialog box appears. Select "Yes" to start formatting. Select "No" to cancel.

Fix memory error message on camera

Hi there! Make sure the SD card is not locked. There is a tiny slider on the side. If is in the "down" position, the card cannot have new files saved to it. Move the slide to the "up" position, then reinsert the card.

If the slider is very loose, it's possible that inserting it into the camera slides it down, essentially making it useless. I have one like that. You could try a touch of superglue to make the slider harder to move, but I have never tried this and you would need to be very careful not to use too much, and to make sure it's entirely dry before putting it in your camera. Perhaps try a different memory card?

Card locked on DXG 535V HD CAMCORDER

Take the memory card out of your camera and look at it. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

You need as SD card.

It only comes with 32 MB of memeory.  That almost useless.    Get 2 0r 4 GB SD card.

Good luck!

Used dxg-503 digital camera won't power on even w/new batteries

If this camera has a memory card, remove it and then try turning it on. Sometimes the memory cards make the cameras act different.

If there is no memory card or card is out and you have same problem, you can send it in to DXG company and they will repair it for $50

Move pictures saved in camera to card

Best thing to do is upload them to your computer. The camera does not allow you to move from camera memory to card.

Well i have a DXG 3.0 megapixel video camera im having problems uploading pictures to my computer.Ive put the disk in that it came with but that doesn,t even work.So im pretty much running out of options...

Highly recommend that you consider using a card reader to download your pictures. You insert the camera's memory card into the reader, and then insert the reader into a USB port on your computer. The card then shows up as a hard drive so that you can simply copy/paste or drag your picture files onto your computer. Card readers are much more faster in downloading pics, do not require the use of your camera's batteries, and provide much more reliable downloading of the pictures (fewer errors). They're also VERY inexpensive these days. Here are some examples from Amazon:

The DXG uses SD cards:

Memory Error

Try removing your SD card or using a different one. I let Windows XP delete all the pictures from my card after uploading them and now my 518 doesn't like the card....I don't know why though.
