Did you double check to make sure the screen is facing the same way the old one was?

A scratch on the screen will not effect your photos in anyway, it will just be annoying to you at most. Its possible to hit the prism out of alignment but also very unlikely. If you had to **** it a little bit, its possible you may have moved the actual lcd.

My philips 240b powervision tv, about 10 years old, while watching, all of a sudden the screen video turned into slanting horizontal whilte lines. the input is from setup box. I guess it happened when i...

Slanting horizontal lines indicate that the horizontal hold is out of adjustment. As the components age they change values and don't have the same effect on the circuit. some units have a horizontal hold adjustment pot on the back that can be adjusted to bring the horizontal back to the middle. If the adjustment pot is not on the back the only way to bring the horizontal hold back is on the inside of the unit and this is not a safe proceedure. If the picture was really good before it went bad then it might be worth the cost of repair. If the picture was getting weak (light colors, washed out look) then the repairs are not cost effective (not worth the money to have the unit repaired) There are some tv repair people that work quite a bit cheaper than others. It would be worth a few phone calls to get an estimate and make an informed purchasing decision.

To open the Samton 45Bn crt monitor

turn off power.

Get a long philips screw driver and remove the base and all fixing screws. some are hidden behind blanking plates and the com off with a sharp knife and a getle lifting at the join.

After all screws are removed the lie the screen downwards and start to pull away the backing.

you should get the case apart easily.

You must be aware of the tube holding a full charge at its end. DO NOT touch this at any point. The only thing you should try to inspect is the fuse or adjustment to the focus slant contrast etc.

Can't get a Widget back!

This should help you...

Open your widget bar by touching the "W". Once it's open, add all of your widgets to the home screen. Stack them from top of the screen down. that should allow you to scroll down to the one you can't get to otherwise. Now simply move that one up higher, then begin to put back the ones you don't want into your widget bar in order from bottom to top. Once you have them docked back where you want them, click the "X" to close the widget bar.

Problem should be solved.

Cannot unfold our Bratz Musical Stars Fold Scooter

Call MGA toll free 1 800 222 4685 and they will walk you through the procedure. You have you put one hand on the slanted bar with the yellow label on it and one hand on the foot board and push in and down at the same time. Push at the same angle as the slanted bar. I couldn't get ours open either so I called the company - Good Luck!

I had this same problem and going through the on-screen menus I found a reset option. I reset the monitor settings and the scrolling bars went away. I plan to leave it powered up for a while to see if they come back.

1993 Panasonic color TV (can't find model number on TV)picture is too dark and the regular adjustments do not get it bright enought. I see a small opening on the back of the set, is that an additonal...

I'll give it a try, but just so everybody is on the same page, this is not a projection TV but a direct view.

There is one slot on the back of the set that looks something like a hole about the size of the end of a hat pin with a slanting line going about 40 degrees to the left then ending with another hole about half the size of the first one, so I guess there could be 2 adjustments in there. I just didn't want to futz with it in case it was something that could do something I might not be able to undo.

Slanting Picture

The yoke has probably come loose and tilted.. From the rear of the set looking on the back of the crt you'll find a copper wire wound magnet called the yoke. It terminates on the neck of the yoke with a clamp. With the set off slightly loosen the clamp and turn the yoke assembly in the opposite direction - key word here is slightly - and apply power to check the alignment.
Keep doing this until you achieve the alignment you want. And always remember to unplug the set between attempts.

Picture slants right to left

Hope you have fixed this problem by now, if that tv is unserviced, I mean if nobody has ever opened it, it could be a problem with the positioning of your tv, just tilt the tv in different positions and find out the position in which it will show the right fit. If it is serviced, especially yoke is changed, this is rare, it could be because the position of yoke is not aligned properly.
