My marantz sr5200 powered off and won't turn back on. What do I do? There is a light flashing red. this is not an overheating problem or fuse problem. It happened when I was trying to program the multi-zone feature.

My Marantz SR5200 powered off and won't turn back on. I believe there is a two or three button reset but I don't know what that is. The revious solution Fixya gave me was a solution for someone else and doesn't pertain to me.

Try to reset the memory circuits, the info on them may be corrupted, try this:
1 disconnect the plug from the AC line supply
2 wait 10 minutes then, reconnect the plug to the AC
outlet
3 try to operate the equipment.

now.. if above does not work you may have to contact the manufacturer as
the issue could be related with the internal circuitry.

good luck!

You might not have to reset it, try checking ur fuses, it could have tripped the circuit when the power went out.

Normaly that's what happens unless it was a direct contact then, u might wanna go get another receiver, and what i mean by direct contact, i mean like directly plugged into the wall socket.

I hope that helps.

Cheers.

Marantz ST6006 Receiver. How to fix AV receiver not powering up after sitting idle?

Question edited for clarity and typo.

Check the fuse in the plug (UK). Check power as far as the unit with a proximity tester. Look for a fuse in the back near where the mains cable enters. Open up and look for fuses.

Nice unit

Marantz SR5200 Turns on and off by itself

Thermal cutoff is operating. There is excessive heat being generated on the heat sinks of the Amp. This happens when there is a shorted output transistor or a speaker load changing.

The red light on my Marantz SR5008 keeps flashing and wont turn on. How can I fix this

Disconnect everything and then plug in only the power. If the light still blinks, the PS is probably damaged and will need to be serviced. If the light doesn't blink, you have a shorted connection. Speaker wires are probably the most likely.

I have a phsssst noise in the rear left channel of my Marantz SR5200 AV Amp which occurs when I turn amp on. You can also hear it on some music. It sounds like a connection problem but have checked cables.

Check the routing of the cables to make sure they avoid power sources and magnetic fields.

I have a buzzing sound when I use my track lights which have a fader, so I avoid using them while listening.

Marantz SR5200 receiver works only with remote not manually

Check for a stuck/jammed switch, press each switch if one doesn't make a normal click sound or it doesn't move at all that's your problem.
If that's not it check the owners manual for how to reset the receiver (not all manuals will tell you how to reset it) Another way to reset it is to short the memory cap, but that is better left to a tech.

If you try and unplug it at least 12 to 24 hours and it does the same thing, then its time to take it in to the shop.
