IT MEANS THAT YOU CANNOT PUT SONGS FROM A CD ONTO YOUR MP3 PLAYER,& THAT YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THEM FROM SOMEWHERE SUCH AS WWW.LIMEWIRE.COM OR WWW.MP3ROCKET.COM. THERE YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THE FREE SOFTWARE SO YOU CAN DOWNLOAD AS MANY SONGS AS YOU WANT.BUT PERSONALLY I PREFER WWW.MP3ROCKET.COM

Why doesn't CD play?

try a CD with no scratches?
to test a player, one most try many CDs
to truly test it. (a new CD is best ! or scratch free)

next the WORD CD means nothing much, round disc, sure
on such a very old car 2002 CD means this.
plays, ONLY!
CDDA (compact disk, digital audio)
means only store bought disks work. CDDA.

The never works list:
MP3 discs or other music formats common today.
in fact can't play file formatted music.
CDR
CDRW
DVD of any kinds
Bluray

when new, the car had a book on this head end.(in glove box)
stating what it would play, NOT MUCH. CDDA for sure. works and is to be checked first.
much later , it can play many newer formats..
go to walfart , buy any CDDA, off shelf.
try that. see if those work first.
I like Country Joe and the Fish....

My sony mp3 dont stop to show me no data when i want to listen music

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

I just downloaded a new CD to my Nextar MP3 player the CD shows on the player however every time I try to play it I get format error and nothing play's not sure what happen it was working fine now its not...

Could be a corrupted file, or it could be in the wrong format. Try ripping the CD to your computer in the MP3 format (using http://www.freerip.com/ or something of the like) and placing the tracks on your MP3 player that way. It should fix the problem easily.

Cant play songs off my playlist

AAAaaaahhhhhh...

You can thank Microsoft for creating Digital Rights Management.

Okay...I'm assuming this is an MP3 that you loaded using the Rhapsody-to-go or other music service that allows for subscription music.

What the MP3 player is telling you is that because you have subscription music and not purchased music, the DRM allows you to only play the song or songs 30-90 days after download. To continue to listen to the songs, you will need to open your Media Manager software (Best Buy Digital Music Service, Rhapsody, WMP11, Media Monkey, etc) connect your MP3 player to the PC, identify the MP3 player through the media manager and tell it to re-authorize your tracks. Once its finished you'll be able to play your songs for another 30-90 days. You will need to repeat this re-authorizing to continue to play the tracks.

No Authority

I have a Nextar MA 933A model and have the same problem. The root cause of the issue is the player doesn't support DRM 9 or 10. DRM stands for Digital Rights Management. If the player doesn't support DRM 9 or 10, buying tracks from Napster won't work. The only tracks that will work are those that you convert from a CD. I am disappointed by this. I wouldn't have purchased the mp3 player if I couldn't download from Napster.

When you purchase an MP3 player, look at the product detail and make sure it supports DRM 9 or 10.

Philips GoGear mp3

Sounds like the files are DRM copy protected.

You can check for protected tracks.
  • In Windows Explorer, go to the folder where the tracks are stored on your PC.
  • Click on View -----> Details
  • Right click on the header bar in the right hand window and select protected. (If protected is not listed click on More)
  • Tracks will be listed with No or Yes under "protected". Check your non-playing tracks are listed as No, under "protected".
The HDD1830 is not compatible with protected files, although your PC will play them ok.

Sakar or iConcepts mp3 not working????

Walmart and many other sites sells songs that are DRM encrypted, meaning they are copy protected. Your MP3 player will not play these unless it is DRM 9 / 10 compatable. The purchase license permits you to download and play in the first device, when copied to another device the DRM prohibits playback in the second device.

Player won't play some songs - It states "No Authority" and won't play them

That generally means that the song was purchased online. Music purchased on line will sometimes not be allowed to transfer to mp3 players. That's to keep you from buying a song, putting it on your player and then transferring it to another computer. Part of the anti-piracy deal. If the songs that won't play were not purchased on line, then there may be deeper problems with your player and you may need to reformat the device.
