Yes there are only four springs three heavy ones to the sides and one light one running vertically from the rear tub brackett to the bottom frame rail but you may have a clutch band assembly problem hope this helps

What will cause my Whirlpool washing machine to set on low speed spin cycle?

The machine uses automatic load sensors to balance the load and when you put something in the machine that is big, like a comforter, it knows that it cannot balance that item. So with a front loader it wont spin at high speed because it would be off balance and either damage the machine or the machine would "walk" because of the off balance motion.

This model of washer does not have an out of balance cut off switch. If the load is not balanced properly the tub could hit the cabinet sides. If the unit spins evenly while empty & out of balance while loaded, I recommend checking & balancing the load. If the basket spins out of balance while empty, I recommend having the suspension springs & balance ring checked. Be sure not to wash light fabric with heavy fabric clothes. Also ensure that the adjustable feet are level, that's most important.

During spin cycle, washing machine is bouncing around the room

Sounds like the drum, balance weights have come off, to me. This will cause those symptoms.

Out of balance on spin cycle (machine is level)

The balancing straps that hold the drum in balance could be broken or the springs could be wore out.

Very noisy on spin cycle, not out of balance

Hi, check leveling of machine, machine should be proper leveled on all side, use spirit level to adjust legs, there should be no rocking motion, in any direction after leveling, put hands on top of machine and try to rock it sids to side, there should be no movements, also check for overloading, be careful when washing things like bath towels, etc, they absorb lots of water, eg. one regular bath towel are equivalent, to six pants, six tops. or possible springs or bushings broken, you need open machine and check.

OUT OF BALANCE SPIN CYCLE

Check you base pads and plate pads,...also make sure you have a total of 5 springs connecting to the bottom of the tub. Make sure they are all there.
