Bosch 5410 Electric Dryer heat issue The dryer tumbles fine, but the heat turns on for about 30 seconds and then stops. If I stop and start again this scenerio is repeated. I have check out the following: R2- NTC Temperature Sensor, 11K ohms, good R3- NTC Temperature Sensor, 21.5 k ohms, good B9- Overheat Thermostat, good, even jumped out, no change X22- I have 125 volts ac on both lines coming in I cleaned out the lint trap, was blocked up with residue. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have not check out the Temperature regulator below the front door. What am I missing? What else can I check? I'm guessing the power control module is defective, I hope not at ~$270

There is also another overheat module below the front door too. Check that.
Also, forgive me for asking the very obvious, but have you checked the entire exhaust pipe to make sure that there is no restriction that would cause overheating.

SOURCE: dryer not heating

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be the fault.

SOURCE: WTL 5410 BOSCH AXXIS CONDENSATION ELECTRIC DRYER

the thermostats at the element have to be replaced, they burn out prematurely if the condensor unit is not cleaned on a regular basis.

Check the little button that the door pushes in when you close the door (door switch).

Dryer stops tumbling, but heating element stays on

Usually when an electric dryer overheats it's because of a defective cycling thermostat or a clogged vent system. Clean any lint from the internal and external ductwork, and/or replace the cycling thermostat

Dryer will not stop running

Your machine may have a feature called wrinkle guard or wrinkle shield, which basically keeps tumbling the clothes without heat to prevent wrinkles from setting in. Turn that feature off and see if that does the trick.

Re-set button location?

you need to remove the back panel the smaller one that covers heater matrix you will find a thermostat with a red reset button on it when you push it it will click and reset however you should find out why this happened before you use it again as it only does this if it overheats.

hope this helps

Bosch nexxt 500 series dryer

I just had the same problem, motor runs but no heat. I had a fun time figuring out how take the front panel off, hint the rubber seal comes off easily. It looks like mine tripped the resettable over heat sensor. So far so good.
