In Use/Memory FAX after changing ink cartridge

PLEASE HELP ME !!!! I have replaced the large black ink cartridge in my Pixma MP830...I have done this many times before with out ANY problems, until today. I use refilled cartridges (which I know Canon does not recognize ... but again, I have done this many times before)....so I replaced the cartridge and it will NOT print the faxes in the memory. It keeps saying that that ink is low.

I CAN print documents but it just won't push through the fax...I have unplugged the fax and asked the person to refax and still it is stuck....I REALLY need to fix this...my business requires a lot of faxes.

refilled all cartridges from inksell.com kits. printer still says all tanks are low. will not print fax, but prints otherwise ok. reset printer--no good. no useable answer so far from inksell support.

I had the same problem - it would not print the faxes as the machine would not recognize the generic cartridge - I had to get the official Canon cartridge to get the faxes to print out of memory.

My Pixma mp830 will not print black text. What do I do?

Hy, your printhead has dry ink inside. Try to put the print head in ditiled water ( NOT tap water) and live it over night. If that dosent help try in warm distiled water and live it over night. Be careful not to put the print head in the printer when is wet...let it dry for 2-3 hours. If still dosent work you need to replace the printhead.

After changing the ink cartridge it gives me the message, the type of print head is incorrect...Canon MP830....I installed it over and over again, same result with several other cartridges

Hello.
This can happen with certain types of compatible cartridges. the large black is usually the issue. Try unplugging the printer from the power for 5 mins. Also Try replacing the large black with a different brand, compatible cartridges are great for saving money but can cause some issues with the electronics. I recommend G & G Brand compatibles. they have been rated very well in PC Magazines and give no issues with recognition.

My Canon Pixma MX850 has two black ink wells, one large and one small. During printing, the printer pulls from the large well first and so when it's empty, I can no longer print in black ink even though...

The small black tank is called "Photo Black Ink Cartridge" and is usually only sed when printing color pages or photos. There is no way to bypass that. Use the ********* ink since it is a cheaper cartridge judging by volume. Sets can be purchased on ebay for very low price. Link below:

I need to print an urgent fax (black) with one of my ink cartridges (blue) empty. How can I make the machine proceed to print? Please help. Peter

check in your printer properties under color management. the printer might have an option for you to switch it to just black and white.

Ink Cartridge Replacement

With your hand beneath the control panel, lift straight up. The top half of the unit will open. If the power is ON, the cartridge unit will move from its parked area on the right side to the center, where you can see all the ink tanks. Tanks that are low or out of ink will be indicated by the light on the tank flashing. If the light is steady, the tank still has sufficient ink. Remove the tank by pushing the tab on the front of the tank and lifiting up.

Need to replace ink cartridge

http://reviews.cnet.com/multifunction-devices/pixma-mp830-office-all/4505-3181_7-31785803.html

Replacing the five ink tanks (cyan, yellow, magenta, black dye, and black pigment) is a simple task. The top of the printer flips up to reveal the ink tanks and the printheads, and by flipping a lever, you can pull out each tank individually. Being able to replace individual tanks is a boon, as you won't waste colors you use less frequently. Also, you won't need separate photo ink to print photos, which we appreciate. Canon ships the Pixma MP830 with full ink tanks. Replacement color and dye-based black ink tanks cost $14.25 apiece, while the pigment-based black ink tank costs $16.25. Canon estimates the cost per page for both black text and color text to be an inexpensive 2 cents.

Read fax in memory MP830

it won't print faxes if ink is too low so it stores them until you replace the low cartridge or cartridges. Don't know if you can transfer to computer. Do it the other way around and go to www.myfax.com I did and I love it.

MP830 prints a black stripe down the back of the paper

the waste ink pads are full ..when the black line appears it is an indicator that the waste ink pads are full it is usualy because the printer has reached its life expectancy the solution is either buy a new printer or pay a tech about 170 dollars to repair it

Does not recognise the smaller black ink cartridge

This machine is not meant to switch between the two black cartridges. The large one is used when you are using black only, and the small one is used when you are printing in color.
