Power off the printer. Unplug the printer's USB cable for 5 seconds replug turn on the printer. If that fails power off the PC and printer unplug the USB cable at the PC and printer replug and power back on the PC. After PC is fully booted turn the printer back on. If this keeps reoccurring please replace the USB cable and or try different USB ports.

We have a HP 8150N. The printer will not print and is giving a 62.0 printer error message. We have turned the printer on and off which has not helped. Is there an eazy fix?

62.0 memory error. This error indicates that the memory that is soldered to the formatter is likely bad. If the error was 62.1 or 62.2 that would indicate that the memory in one of the upgrade slots was bad. The only real solution to 62.0 will be to replace the formatter.

Hp laserjet 8150 black blocks lcd display

If the printer isn't intializing then you may have a formatter issue. Try reseating the the formatter in the back of the printer. There is two thumb screws that hold it in place. If the printer is booting up and you can still print to it but you just can't read the control panel then the problem is with the control panel.

Printer Model : hp LaserJet 3020 OS : Windows XP(32 bit) Problem : When I did my last firmware update I interrupted by pressing the cancel button on my printer control panel as it showed "Printing...

Never ever touch the printer while upgrading the firmware.
You now need to replace the formatter
  • DO NOT power cycle the printer or the PC during this process or the printer may become unstable and or unusable without further attention from HP . The firmware update can take up to 5 minutes to complete. Please be patient.
  • During the printer firmware update, the liquid crystal display (LCD) on the printer control panel will display "Printing Document" and will change to "Erasing". After a short while, the LCD display will change to "Programming". After a short while, the LCD will display "complete : )" and the "Ready" LED on the printer will be flashing. The printer will automatically power cycle to reboot and will make noises similar to power on.
