need the model number to assist but it sounds like a main board issue if you have one of the panasonic plasma models that have the inputs all on the main board. You can get main boards for most models at www.tvrepairworld.com
No way, Jose! Those bastards manufactures are always making sure you won't be able to use parts from one model to the other. Especially-display! LCD panels could be rigged, but no plazma's. Sorry! Sell it for parts to some repair shop and get yourself LCD or LED panel. Plazma is gone!
What is it you are receiving when you connected? No signal?
You may need to setup your Computer to TV mode. Or even TV you may need to setup INPUT or anyother connections that required.
For example: I have sony Monitor/LCD but also works as TV it is Plazma. Has got connection with INPUT VGA S-VIDEO. I use Svideo for video connection and I use INPUT connection to Computer where I take cable tv channels. You need to see If your computer support for TV if does, make sure if You need docking station or not. My suggestion go to toshiba page and read user guide and reqs. for TV connection. probably your are missing something.
Your player has several outputs and you might want to start with the basic Video Audo Left Right output first.
Set your with your plazma to see if you can change the input types to accept the video and audio input which will probably be labeled AV 1, AV 2 and so on.
My guess is that you have it set for Component Red Blue Green which his a high def (just before HTMI) and requires a separate audio cable. Your player, depending on the age of the unit, probably will not have Red Blue Green picture output.
Next if you have an HTMI output from your player hook that to your Plazma in the HDMI 1 position and select it on the TV's setting. Audio and Video are both carried in the HDMI cable.
if there is an input on the back of your cable reciever get a fiber optics cable and put it in to your theater system and into the box then select "ez/optical" and your tv should come through, or you can connect the fiber optics cable on the back of your tv into the system and keep the tv volume off
