Vertical line problems to LCD screens are described with illustrations. Surf the site with patience.

The vertical sweep output is absent. Check its vertical output section circuit for the fault. Check all the solder terminals of that section, and resolder them by applying a little more solder. Take special care to the solder terminals of the vertical output IC. If these do not help you, check and replace the vertical output IC.

The problem is vertical failure. Vertical output section to your TV ahs the fault. You ahve to check the vertcial output circuit for any component failure or loose solderings.

The faut to your TV is with its vertical output section circuits. Vertcal lenearity may have changed duse to defect of some electrolytic capacitors used at that section. If you have enough knowledge in electronics and have experience ins tracing the circuit, just open your TV and locate the vertical output section. The section to your tV is built around and IC [la78041]. This IC will be screwed on to a metal heatsink to radiate heat from it while it works.
Replace the capacitors [C407, C406,C409 & C413]. Adjust the preset resistor [VR401-1], a little bit. It is the vertical position adjustment preset.

looks like the lcd panel is damaged contact the toshiba service on your area

My 52 in regza has a vertical line on the right side as well just under 2 years old, out of warranty and to costly to repair, I paid $2500 as well. The TV has been on its stand since the day I bought it and has been moved once.
I have read of others who have this problem as well, just google toshiba regza red line, or vertical line
I Too will never buy Toshiba products and I will tell everyone I can about the **** LCD Toshiba

go to the vertical section n change caps like 100uf, 2.2uf around the section in addtion check some caps in the line o/put like 22uf 250v

you just say horizontal lines / and across a top of your television.I expect your trouble is the vertical line of your television . sound ok? try trouble the vertical section the check the resistor?

Replaced C407 100uf/35V Vertical section.

Hello, one of possible solutions is to replace capacitors (10uF/50V) on HYPER (PD0246) module. Please ask the tech to check/replace them. If you need more info please advice.
