Insert the first recovery disk into the CD-drive.
Restart your computer, and choose to "boot" from the CD-drive, instead of the usual 'C:' drive. Follow the on-screen instructions.
the computer can't detect the hard drive to start from it or, then theres a problem with your windows. Use the recovery discs or windows setup cd to try to install windows to the computer again to fix the problem. Let me know how that goes. Thanks
Try with another brand of disk; the Matsushita UJ870 drive of our 5315 burn my Sony CD's but not my Philips CD's (my Compaq V2617LA with an older Matsushita UJ840 drive has burned Phillips CD's in the last two monts)... Remember: CD and DVD lassers are different. I think because of that, i haven't see problems with Sony, Philips and Samsung DVD's... only with CD's...
