It means the machine is trying to erase all programming and start from scratch. Make sure the machine has not been turned off for too long and try a flag clear in your manual. If you have lost the manual, most casio manuals are here: https://the-checkout-tech.com/
If you mean turn the journal printing off, you can't. It doesn't have a journal memory because it is designed to print everything on the journal roll. That is why you buy a two station printer model. It stops staff from covering transactions and the tax office will want to see your journal rolls if they audit you.

For those who asked about a programming manual for the Casio TE4500F, one of the users has it here: https://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Casio_TE-3000S_and_TE-4000F_and_TE-4500F_dealers_manual.html
I know its been about 2 weeks in coming, but this is really easy to do. Generally casio does all its pricing from P1(program1 to get there turn the key to PGM). The machine will recognize the position of the key and automatically go to P1. Once there you can enter a price without decimals and press the button that you want that price on. That is providing the PLU's are set up. The PLU's are the items that you sell like hamburger, milk, coke etc. When done press subtotal and turn your key back to REG and keep on pluggin!!!!!

Hi. Did you program this machine from scratch, or has a dealer setup the system area of programming for you? What I'm asking is has it ever printed a logo?
At the end of each day, you turn the key to Z mode, and press CASH. The machine will print a daily report, then clear only the sales memory ready for the next day. It will not affect any programming.
Turn key to program mode. 3 SUBTOTAL 1166 SUBTOTAL Now type the PLU number and press the 'PLU' button (eg 1 PLU for the first plu) Now type the dept number to link to. Use two digits eg 01 Now press 00 (double zero) CASH SUBTOTAL
To set a dept name:
Turn key to program. 2 SUBTOTAL Type dept no in 2 digits eg 01 Type 05 SUBTOTAL Type new dept name using character sheet 00 (double zero) CASH SUBTOTAL
That should do it. Let me know if you have problems.
