Replaced both shocks as one eye was broken on one.Drum is still hammering away loud!Do I have an internal problem with the tumbler?I have been told it could possibly be the driven pulley isn,t square on the shaft?
We are talking washers not dryers. The inner spin tub probably has broken spyder it bolts to the tub but is not available as a seperate part.
The drum is driven by a belt attached to the motor. In order for the drum to turn freely, it is SUPPORTED by a rollers. One of these rolers may be broken (cracked or split) so the drum is not equally supportedon all sides.
If you open the machine up - you'll see it. Depending on the particular brand sometimes there a set 0of rollers in the front AND back, sometimes just the front - with the back supported by a central pivot.
I hope this helps
