Printer jammed during printing 2nd page and now says ERROR 41 contact brother..MFC 3100c

    the computer stop printing without warning and kept repeating it self by reading error 41 i tried every one suggest and it did't work at all for me so I guess i will have to buy a print head thank for the help. I clean the print head, took out all the cartridge and replace them and it did't work, restart up the disc and it didn't work, gave up after all that!!!

Error 41 -The head drive voltage has not been turned from Low to High within the specified time.
Check:
� Carriage ASSY
� Main PCB
� Print head unit
� Power supply PCB

cleaned the print head and try again .

Hi there

Error 41 means there is a major problem with the printhead, usually
requires a print head replacement.
My advice is to take it to a
Brother service centre while if it is under warranty.
If it's out of warranty they are usually a throw away job, the heads cost as much as the printer.

Sorry I know what it feels like, just have a go and see what you can do, clean the heads and so on.

warranty then it is cheaper to purchase a new, non Brother model. If you have been using non-Brother cartridges or refills, they can have too much water in them and it erodes the print head after a while. Usually just after warranty has expired!

if you have an error 41 the machine wont print any more due to a short circuit in the print head.

plz check error message.

anyway, if you have received error 41 you need a new printhead or better (because its cheaper) a new mfc.

Hi,

Error 41 is common problem for all Brothet MFC printers.
To fix it, you have to change the Print heads of your printer.If your printer is still under warranty, call Brother 1-800-276-7746(Voice) 1-949-859-2272 (Fax)
and get yourself a new Printhead "free of cost".
