Has the binatone symphony 2210 got caller display ?

According to the user manual for the phone, the default PIN for remote operation is 000000000 123. To access the second phone register, you may need to enter this PIN when prompted. The display could be failing.

Make sure your microphone on your phone is on, and not muted.

with cordless phones the problem is that the hand sets have to be recognized by the base station ( paired) and unless you have the exact hand piece make and model this pairing and recognition will not happen
if you can get 2nd hand units for the 3325 base then the base will accept them ( any number of additions ) but if the hand piece is different it will not work
you you need extra hand pieces then it may be best to consider a new system where you can buy extra phones and chargers

If you have set up the TAM settings correctly then it seems to be a fault with the machine. I've set up my TAM settings with new pin and I still can't remotely access the messages.

Make sure you are pressing the * key before you enter the default code (as far as I can recall).
