Red "faulty battery" indicator with newly-charged Batteries

On my Elura 100, the red "replace lithium battery" indicator continues to flash with freshly-charged battery installed. have tried 3 separate batteries - same symptoms. The camera also does seem to record & playback normally. Is there anything I can do to reset the camera OS so this indicator can once again provide accurate battery status feedback?

To clarify, I began to have the same problem with the original BP208 battery. I ordered 2 new ones (to have one for backup). The problem still exists with the the new BP208 batteries fully charged.

Update - Acting on a hunch, I found the solution to my own problem. The manual suggests that the red flashing indicator is specifically for the status of the lithium BP2908 battery. It is in fact the indicator for all the internal batteries - including that of the CR1616 system backup battery. I replaced that one and all is now well.

When i charge my beats pill 2'0 , the light put red, and when it's 100% charged it put yellow , but my beats when it's charger 100% doesn't put yellow , still red. What can i do?

If it is a lithium battery, please be aware that lithium batteries lose 20% of total capacity per year; (under the _best_ circumstances).

How old is the battery?

Camera says batteries low, replace

Make sure you are using fresh batteries when you are replacing them. If you are using rechargeable batteries, let them charge until the indicator light on the base unit turns green. If the indicator light on the base unit flashes red, the batteries are no longer good.
Cheap batteries form dollar stores (Sunbeam, or store brand name) do not last long, and digital point and shoots eat up those types in a few uses. Best to use Duracell or Energizer batteries for Cameras. They dont have to be Lithium, or digi camera specific batteries. Those are expensive and unnecessary. Basic Duracell or Energizer will do.

Flashing red light charger

I assume you have the Lithium slide batteries, if so the most likely problem is faulty batteries, Makita had a high failure rate with these batteries, take them back with your proof of purchase and it is quite likely they will be replaced under warranty

Just bought a Ruobi drill with 18V Lithium Batteries. Been chatging for over an hour. Still not charged. Just the bottom Green light stays on. Is this normal? How long does it take?

The Ryobi charger will flash green as it charges and then remain steady or slowly flashing green when fully charged. Flashing red means testing and if it remains steady or slowly flashing red it is defective.

What does it mean when a household battery charger flashes red then green? The charger is a SYNERGY DIGITAL rapid quick charger. I'm trying to charge new AA Energizer Lithium batteries.

When the charger light is changing from red to green that is a indication that it is charging the battery. When the charge is complete the light will stay green until the battery is removed or the charger is unplugged.

Ryobi 18V lithium battery won't charge

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. The yellow and blinking red indicate a defective cell. Since it has lithium cells and is that new any repair to it would be a waste of your time. Ryobi tools purchased in 2008 have a 2 year warranty. I am guessing you probably got it at a home depot and you should return it under the warranty. All new Ryobi tools have a three year warranty. Good Luck! and Thanks for using fixya!

Charger red lite flashing. Camera comes on for one second and shuts off

Hello,
Here's a copy from the owners manual:
■ Charging LED
Red LED is on = Being charged
Red LED is blinking = Charging error
Green LED is on = Carging is complete

● If the charge indicator blinks as red, it indicates a battery charging error.
- The battery is not properly inserted
- The terminals of battery are dirty or damaged
If the battery is inserted properly and the charge indicator continues to blink, contact the
nearest Samsung Camera Service Center.

Another charging error is when the batteries are so depleted, they won't charge up to 100% anymore = red light doesn't go out and remains on for too long, means get a new battery.

Flashing lights

I had the same problem. 1 of four way's can fix it. #1 Put a batt. that has a little charge in that flashing spot 1st. and see if that works. #2 put the batt. in that flashing slot first and then in the 1st slot, If that did'nt work, #3 Put Batt. in backwards for 1 sec. in and out fast. and I do say very fast, In that flashing spot. #4 buy a new one. The one that fixed mine was #1 and it stoppppped flashing, The order I put them in was - 3-1-2-4 I put in #3 batt. first, it was the one flashing And it worked, You may have a bad batt. or it's on it's way out, but try It. worked for me!
