My 42e2000 just said "lamp at end of projected life". I have had this TV for several years, have had it isf calibrated 3 times (the last time was 1 month ago). At that point, the technician said everything looked good. My question is this: am I safe to wait a month to replace the lamp? Can I just replace the bulb or do I have to replace the entire thing? Any help is appreciated.

It time to replaced the tv projection lamp again,the tv projection lamp life span have ended.The tv projection lamp life span only last 2000 hrs.Average out like 1 1/2 or 2 years max for tv on watches 4 or 5 hrs of tv every days.

Panasonic PT-61LCX65 turned off while I was watching TV. Won't come back on. "Lamp" light blinks once every 5 seconds. Tried turning it on several times per the manual instructions--no change....

Tv projection lamp life are over. Wow 6 years with the original lamp,what u want it last for ever.Replaced the tv projection lamp,will solved the problems.

I have a sony xbr lcd projection tv . it goes on and off all the time . like every two min . and the standby light comes on. model KF-50XBR800

Hi,
Its symptom of weak lamp that reaches to end of its working hours life span. If lamp has not been replaced in last 2-3 years then replace it to fix tv problem.
Lamp replacement procedure is easy and written in user manual.
Please buy Sony original lamp for good picture in tv.

I recomend chnge the lamp now to avoid ballast problem after.and remember reset the lamp timer after change.for reset lamp timer press menu in the remote control ----setup------in the color adjust side find lamp reset ----a change a new lamp question appear--push yes and ok.
