Simple, just keep finger on the on button of ps3 for 5 seconds which will reset and a picture will appear that will accept the new picture settings.

Some how your picture settings have went beck to default. If you have red white and yellow a/v cables laying around for the ps3 unplug the hdmi from the tv and the ps3 connect the a/v cables then turn it on. If you have picture, plug you hdmi into the console and the tv then go to display settings on the ps3 and set it for hdmi out.that should work.

SOURCE: PS3 hook up to sony reciever

its in the sound settings on your ps3, change to hdmi out put, this should sort it, if not you can use your scart lead for the sound, just use red and white lead straight into your sound system or sony reciever. but you will need to set it up in the sound settings in your ps3. hope this helps

No video signal using HDMI cable.

This sounds similar to my Vizio's second HDMI port; they sometimes become finicky after a while. You may have to just adjust and wiggle the end of the cable inserted into the TV; if it works, then make sure you don't even slightly touch it or else it'll lose signal again. If you have any other ports, try them instead; otherwise the problem may eventually get to an unusable point. You will have to have the port repaired or the TV replaced.

How do you use PS3 and DVD player with the Toshiba 32Dtu2 LCD TV?

The PS3 can be hooked up to the tv using either a HDMI cable or the old RCA (Yellow, Red, White) cables. If you are having problems viewing a picture or hearing sound, here is some trouble shooting you might want to try.

Connect the PS3 using both the HDMI and RCA cables. select the HDMI input on your tv. turn on the PS3. If you cant see a picture, press and hold the power button until you hear 2 beeps (this will take about 15 seconds). This resets the PS3 to the old RCA cables. Select the RCA input on your tv. Hopefully you can see the image and hear the PS3 now. Go to the settings on the PS3 and change the display settings to output video through the HDMI. Remember, your tv can only go as high as 1080i resolution, so you wont see anything if you select the 1080p resolution.

If this didn't work, you might have a bad signal though the HDMI cable. Unplug the tv and PS3 for atleast 30 minutes, and then connect the PS3 to the tv before you turn either one on.

If this doesn't help, then you might have a HDMI cable that isn't recognized by either your PS3 or your tv. Try replacing your HDMI cable.

Hope this helps!

Im not getting anything (soud or picture) with the red, yellow, and, white cords. thats because it is set for the HDMI cable. how do i get the picture to come in without a HDMI compatable TV?

Sounds to me like you will need to plug the PS3 into a HDMI capable display and change the output settings on the PS3 to composite / AV.
Then reconnect to the non HDMI TV. The red, yellow and white cables should now work.

Trying to hook-up a PS3 to my Toshiba 32AV500U thru HDMI but I get no picture. I forget how to get to the setup.

The Toshiba 32AV500U cannot display 1080p. Hook up your PS3 to your computer monitor, provided that it can display 1080p, or some other TV that can, then change your Video Output settings under Settings> Display Settings and uncheck 1080p, which will allow the PS3 to display in 1080i. Once you do that, then hook up the Toshiba via HDMI and it will work with no problem.

I just bought a PS3 slim and hooked it up to my 65'' Toshiba DLP TV using a HDMI cable. The problem is i have picture but no sound. I have tried the settings and all seems to be fine, also tried different...

not 100% sure but check the manual for your tv it may be that you need a faster hdmi cable, as with having a larger tv it will work at a faster rate so the basic hdmi cables wont work.

Surround sound for ps3 with a hdmi cable..

you need a HDMI connection for your stereo. HDMI is an all in one cable so if you don't get your sound in/out you need to hook up to just the RCA's, if you get a reciver that has an HDMI input you will solve this. then you go HDMI to Reciver then HDMI to TV
