Without the make and model, I can't say for sure that a replacement is available that would be affordable. Some plasma sets have a protective covering, some do not. Replacing the plasma panel will be almost as much as replacing the entire set.
Please post the make and model.

White dots when Panasonic plasma TV turns on disappear after warm up.

White spots or dots showing up on your TV's screen could be the result of a bad or damaged processor or due to some overheating occurring the summer time or cold weather temperatures during the winter time. TVs can be affected by electricity surges or spikes as electricity supplies vary throughout the year. Or power outages and brown outs and black out can also cause spots to be on the TV screen too.

White screen

did you drop it in water, ?did you press the screen to hard and cracked the lcd panel? those are the most common reasons, oh, and dropping it, and also dropping it in water. I would suggest going over all those possibilities.. open up the back of your phone and pull out the battery, in all phones now they have a water sensor dot, it remains white always unless the phone was damaged by water, and warranty doesnt cover water damage, look for that little white dot, if its red, that means you gotta get a new phone, and if you try peeling if off theyll know youre covering up water damage, unless you were able to somehow obtain another white color changing dot to put back in your phone now in the exact place it should be, but techs are very good at catching bluffs. but if that white is intact to begin with, your phone should be under warrenty of some sort, and that means they owe you a new one. bottom line. White dots appear on my screen

that sounds like a common effect that plasma sets develpe ehen the voltage on the screen driver is set out of spec, or the plasma screen assy is going bad, 90% of the times that I have adjusted the voltage the sparkling effect came back, indicating that the plasma display is going bad. or the power supply is going bad, most of the time dried out or bad capacitors in the main power supply in the set. I wish I would have written down those capacitors values and their numbers., as I remembered I found the bad caps because the tops were swollen a little bit. not yet bad yetr but on thier way their. and if left unchecked they will blow up and causing a lot more damage to the power supply

White dots in plasma tv

The only thing you can try is to adjust the tiny control on the Y board, if you want to try do this. Open the set , set it up so you can watch it with the back off. now looking at the back on the left side you will see a circuit board larger connected to a smalled one or two that go to the screen edge . on the larger board look for a few small controls, mark their positions with a dark sharpy then turn each a little while looking at the dots to see if one makes them better or worse. If one control effects the dots try to center it for the least amount of dots, if no effect is observed when a control is turned return it the original position that you mark before starting. if the dots do not clear either the Y board is bad or the whole scfreen is defective.

Plasma tv has little red dots in the black

This problem (known as sparkles) can be cured by adjusting the ramp control on the Y-Sustain board. If this does not cure the dots then there is a software remedy for the control board which an LG repair centre could fix. Failing that a replacement board is required. The orbitor & whitewash are like screen savers to help to prevent a screen burn from a permanently displayed image.
