Want to make samsung ht-x20 home cinema multi regional. when entering code 84269 and enter the player then shuts down. Still not playing DVD. It still asks "check regional code". Ernst

check internet for region free codes for your model, this is usually quite easy to set your system to not have any region restriction. so you can play dvd from all regions. I found this for your model.

1. Remove disc from tray.
2. Switch off player and unplug power cord.
3. Wait 30 seconds, then reconnect power cord.
4. Turn on player with remote. Wait for player to finish loading and display 'no disc'.
5. Press enter on remote. (There will be no on-screen response.)
6. Press 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 on the remote. (There will be no on-screen response.)
7. Press enter on the remote. Player will automatically shut off.
8. Turn player on.
9. Turn off.
10. Turn player on then off again.
11. Player is now region-free.

It might work. try at your own risk.

First your DVD player has to reset, by pressing stop and play botton simantaneously, and then try 84269

Worked for me with a small change

1. Remove disc from tray.

4. Turn on player with remote. press the 'Repeat' on the remote for 10 sec'.
5. Press enter on remote. (There will be no on-screen response.)
6. Press 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 on the remote. (There will be no on-screen response.)
7. Press enter on the remote. Player will automatically shut off.
8. Turn player on.
9. Turn off.
10. Turn player on then off again.
11. Player is now region-free.

Turn on the HT with no DVD. Press the following buttons on the remote: ENTER 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 ENTER 
It will turn off. When turned again on it is a region free HT. 

switch on dvd without disc and let it load till it shows no disc. open tray and using a remote control enter four zeros. region edit will appear and press zero and press enter and then pulse on remote.switch off dvd and on again.dvd is region free. notify me if this works email [email protected]
