Error Code F1:E3

The display panel on my range was not working so I had bought a replacement and installed it (myself). The panel seemed to be work fine however, when I try to use the oven I get and error code of F1:E3. The manual says that means the ground connection is not proper and I should refer to the installation manual. How can I correct this problem?

  • Anonymous Mar 27, 2008

The lights on the display panel don't work. The buttons beep, as normal, and the oven works--there's just no display.

I've removed the panel to try to see if a wire is loose, and the display lit up again. Over the past few weeks, the display is intermittent. When I pressed lightly on the panel sometimes the display came back on. Now it seems to be out for good. The tones still work, and the oven works.

    Any suggestions?

Kitchen Aid Range / Stove / Oven Fault Codes Failure Code Fault Code Description Solution 4 Digit Failure Codes (for 2 digit codes see below) F1 - E0 EEPROM communication error 1. Disconnect power for at least 30 seconds.
2. Re-apply power and observe for at least one minute.
3. If code re-appears, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Note: Applies to all F1-E... codes except F1-E3. F1 - E1 EEPROM checksum error F1 - E2 UL A/D error(s) F1 - E4 Model ID error F1 - E5 Calibration shifted F1 - E6 Latch signal mismatch error F1 - E9 Stack overflow F1 - E3 Wiring harness cavity size does not match previously stored value The "Cavity Size Select" jumpers in the wiring harness indicate a cavity size different from that which the control was previously configured for. Check the jumpers in the harness to make sure they agree with the actual oven size.
F2 - E0 Shorted keypad (also called touch pad) 1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock). F2 - E1 Keypad cable unplugged F2 - E5 Cancel key drive line open F2 - E6 Cancel key drive line openfrom what this says you could have a bad touch pad,it says to press cancel,if the code comes back after a minute you have a bad touch pad.there's a tech sheet on you machine with all the codes on it,look behind the top console taped to the back.make sure you put this back,if someone comes in to work on your machine and that paper is gone it will be hard to work on it,all machines are different.

66993 pizza oven microwave oven combo pizza oven not heating error code f1 microwave part works

Hello, please use the chart to determine which stove you have. You will have to look at the model number. The first 3 numbers will be the series on the chart. In most cases an F1 error would require replacement of the electronic control. This part is commonly refered to as an EOC or ERC. However this type of repair is usually reserved for repair specialists.

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes – 362 Series (General Electric)
F1 = Stuck Touch Pad Key - Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 911 Series (General Electric/Roper)
F0-F1-FF = Failed transistor in Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes- 665 Series (Whirlpool)
F1-E0 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E1 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E2 U/L ERC Errors - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E3 Fuel Type Fail

Kill power 30 seconds-Cancel-Start/Enter-5 seconds-Should see “E” for electric-
“9” for gas-If code changes again-replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 790 Series Electronic Oven Control (Frigidaire)
F1 = Shorted Touch Pad = Electronic Range Control (EOC) Internal check sum error.
Runaway Temp = Replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).

Kill power 30 seconds - if error returns - replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).

F1 Error code

i just had this same issues happen after running the self clean cycle. f1 error, fan would come on, fan would turn off. its not the control board, its the temperature probe. I picked up the part for 40 bucks and put it in myself. plugged the stove back in and it was good to go. the old temperature probe's wires melted during self clean. note to self: clean you over the old fashion way with some elbow grease.
