The problem may be your cable box. If your box is a Motorola , swap it with another possibly from another room in your house. I have run numerous service calls in Dallas / Ft. Worth area only to find the cable box by {MOTOROLA} WAS DEFECTIVE.. Your cable company should also exchange it for free. If the tv does turn out to be the problem, suspect the 24v or 12v from power supply to be low. Probable cause defective capacitors or regulator ic's, or associated zener diodes or open resistors. GOOD LUCK AND LET ME KNOW HOW IT TURNS [email protected]
MIGHT WORK IF YOU: Turn off tv with remote, that is standby, then turn off tv with switch or unplug from wall. Wait a few minutes until led lights go off on tv. plug tv back in. try pushing vt on remote and power button on tv at same time. If this doesn't work try contacting a local retailer, they always have a list of codes for their salesmen.
By the looks of it, the only output you can use from the tv will be using the 2.5mm jack plug headphone socket, get a cable to convert this into twin phone (red/white) for stereo sound to your amplifier. (they are very cheap £2 or so) The Home theatre system should be able to give you a psuedo surround but you wont get full surround.
