I am trying to remove the pivoting head from my Braun 8585 ... removed screen and cutters and the two screws under the cutters but cannot see what else to do to get the head removed

The swivel frame can not alone be removed from the shaver. It is part of a component called a 'drive unit' which icludes the motor. You will find a disassembly video at shaveroutlet.com. See link below and scroll down for video

Shaver is getting very loud

Most likely, the swivel frame that the foil snaps onto has a broken piece(s) of plastic inside making a buzzing sound. If this is the case, you will need to replace the drive unit. You will find this part for model 8585 at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

My Braun shaver 8585 has died. Foil, cable, box, Clean and charge unit as new. Which Braun shaver replaces Braun 8585 and can utilise good pieces?

If I understand correctly, the shaver is dead but all other components are in good condition. If this is the case, you should consider ordering a replacement lower unit. See shaveroutlet.com link below

Newer models made by Braun do not use all the same parts as your shaver so this would be a good way to go

I've connected it to 115v with cable from old Braun and probably burned out fuse or rectifier. How I could take apart the shaver?

To open the shaver body on model 8585, you will first need to gently pry off the 'cap' on the bottom that surrounds the hole where the cord plugs in. Once removed the side grips will pull off revealing 4 screws. Remove screws to take off back cover and access insides. Inner parts simply lift out.
You will probably need to replace the circuit board you will find a replacement circuit board for model 8585 at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

How do I open a Braun 8585 shaver to replace the board and batteries? I know what to do once I get the unit open, but I cannot located any directions anywhere on the web that will tell me how to actually...

Look on the back of shaver and you will see the little rubber points on the body of shaver. Gently pry these out and with a decent small screwdriver you can then remove the screws to gently pry apart the shaver . You will have to remember how the parts fit together, but there is not that many . The batteries are soldered together and you will have to heat the solder to remove them.

Braun 8585 charger cleaner - not cleaning

you can try cleaning it with alchol and see if that helps it to become unplugged and able to clean your shaver again. It may also be some contacts that is on base where it contacts the shaver. If it still does not work, you will need to replace it . Look on ebay for one to replace with.

To open the shaver, you will first need to gently pry off the 'cap. on the bottom of the shaver that surrounds the hole where the cord plugs into to. You can use a small flat screwdriver or similar object to do this. Once it is removed, the side grips will pull away revealing 4 screws on the back. Remove screws to take off the back cover. The internal parts will then simply lift out. Reassemble in reverse order.
