Put video on to q2 it said it was wmv and it then said file not supported any help

Then, u need to transcode wmv to some format your q2 can support.
Try Pavtube Video Converter(http://www.pavtube.com/video_converer/)
It can convert between any video files.
easy to use, reasonable conversion speed, high output quality.
U will get a supported format with it.

There are many converters out there. I would suggest using VLC converter because it supports many formats and there are Mac and Windows versions. Go to http://www.videolan.org/ to get this.

Youtube videos are usually FLV flies which are not compatible with WMV. You must convert the video using video conversion software. Renaming the file does not convert the format the video file format.

I have converted videos into wmv format and i am also sure that the resolution is also ok but still video is not getting played

try a better video converter software, I'd recommend that you use Video Converter Asoftech which helped me before.

Are you sure they support those formats? Because alot of the cheaper mp3 devices usually support .mtv files which is a cheap chinese format.

I cannot get wmv files to play on samsung q2 playerit says file not supported . i only got 1 short clip to play no others .nothing off bbc iplayer.music plays fine

If anyone still has this problem download the file from iplayer then play it on your pc. Finally just drag and drop from the download location via file explorer to the video folder under the Q2 directory
