I no longer have the manuel though don't think it would help with digital....Was given different answers from Samsung....Does this model have a tuner? Have tried the 3 color cc-axial cord, but didn't work...Maybe I put on wrong connections....Please inform me if recording on the VCR A410u(A) from a digital Tv can be done....thanks

The way to connect them is as follows:
1. Connect the cable from the wall to the cable input on the cable box.
2. Connect the cable box RF output to VCR RF input (VCR must be on channel 3).
3. Connect the RF output from the VCR to the RF input on your TV (TV must be on channel 3).
After all the connections are done, leave the VCR and TV on channel 3 and use the cable box to select the channel you want to record programs from.
Good Luck.
SOURCE: How do I record a tv program with a Sharp A400
Your VCR is no longer capable of recording "off air" tv signals. All tv stations are now broadcasting in digital format, your VCR is analog only. You can however get a digital converter box that will receive "off air" digital signals and convert them for recording on your VCR. CLICKING HERE will give you all the information you need to hook up the converter box... Good Luck!
SOURCE: hi. My VCR will not record or play on channel 3
Hi chris
If you mean that the tv has to be on channel 4 instead of 3 then look at the back of your vcr , there is a swich to select the output channels 3/4.
Hope this help
