Convergence problem w/55h70. red is ok but can't fix blue. Is there a component or board that is easily replaced?

The problems ur tv have is known as a convergence problems,it dead.The tv colors lines R,G,B mis alignment,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look like.The tv convergence board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors are dead.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced these parts on the tv convergence board to solved the tv picture convergence problems.The shop,will cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.

replace convergence chips and limiting resistors

the green is half controlled by half of each of the convergence Ics meaning green horizontal is controled along with the red and green vertcal is controlled along with the blue Ics. So if you have replaced both Convergencs ICs the problem is most likely a resistor that is in the green circuit. You will need a schematic to locate which resistors are in the green vertical and horizontal convergence circuit

sounds like the convergence ICs are defective and need to be replaced, they are STK392-110 you can get replacement ICs at the following link that include free instalation instructions.

Wire jumpers need re-soldering....Locations 008,010,017 etc
on inside edge of signal board near convergence IC's.....research

I think you need a remote to use the convergence features of this set. Does it have an auto convergence feature? And does it work?

Same problem - - needs convergence amps replaced and low ohm resistors tested for change in value.

I just posted a question about a convergence problem( juice07 ). I am unable to adjust the red color in the convergence adjustment mode. Did you have a similar problem ?? Please help.
