My sansa 250 does not have a volume up key. Volume is adjusted by rotating the thuimb wheel. The website also shows a different sansa in the instructions to recover. but the picture on this website is like mine no volume up key.

I can not get the device into recovery mode no matter what I try. Keeps telling me to switch and I held volume, and put in hold and held record and nothing happens. So frustrating.

Solution:
1. Put Lock on.
2. Push and Hold Both Rec and Power buttons while the power is off.

Then message should show saying: " Welcome to Recovery Mode"
