Question about Heating & Cooling

Carrier programmable thermostat

My carrier programmable thermostat is not displaying anything on the LCD display. I have tried pressing all the buttons, and checked the main circuit breaker box.

If it takes batterys pop some in and see if not it gets the power from the indoor unit

Carrier thermostat blank lcd display

Like have a clogged drain and the float switch is tripped. Check the drain line near the indoor unit for a piece with two wires. Remove switch and check for water or look in emergency pan under unit for water. DO NOT LEAVE SWITCH OUT, must vacuum clog free or blow out with compressed air.

How do you re-set error code for "change filter" when filter has been changed on Carrier programmlbe thermostat

Clean Filter Feature -
The thermostat will display the CLEAN FILTER indicator when it is time to change the filter. Press the Reset Filter button to restart the timer after the filter has been changed or cleaned. Helpful?

I have a carrier heat pump that will run for about 5 minutes before tripping a breaker and then displaying an E2 code on the thermostat. It will run fine on auxillary heat but not in heat or cool mode...

Sounds like something is going on with the compressor or the outdoor unit. Call a service company

Ok what you need to do is call your local service company and have a technician come out and check your Thermostat, its currently not able to read humidity probably due to a power surge
