Easiest way possible? Take out the photo cartridge and put a piece of scotch tape on the ink part. That's what I do. But if you want to do it on your computer, then you will need to browse through your print settings. You can do this in Start Menu > Printers and Faxes, then right click on the printer and select Printing Preferences
The solution is do not buy these H.P. printers. They are rubbish, take it back while you can. Go and talk to any Ink refill store any get the truth on these printers.
