Printer "read" ink level counter, not ink level actually. Refillable ink tank read as empty ink. Two methods to resolve this. Reset ink level counter using software. Or disable ink level counter reading.
I have not used your particular model of printer or these specific cartridges, but the UK versions of these cartridges cannot have the ink level estimate reset. However it is not necessary to do so to continue using these cartridges.
Instead when the cartridge believes it is empty the printer will ask for a prompt from you in order to continue printing (usually in a rather lengthy message). We made a short video on the subject:
Might be cartridges are refilled. You may got doubt why its not measuring the ink levels?. When printer found new catridge(printer/system based on design) will treats that new cartridge installed & estimated level will display fully. After couple of print outs printer/system will displays estimated ink levels depend upon the ink usage. But there is no mechanical ink level sensors or any other device for mesuaring the levels..Once the ink level trated empty you need to replace new cartridge straight away,if you refilled the same catridge it wont measure the levels, because of the cartridge data code already stored in printer. ..
Often they have a chip mounted on the cartridge which monitors usage and when it determines that there is no ink remaining, it will disable the printer. Some companies sell compatible cartridges and reset the chip counter. But unless you reset the chip, even tho the cartridge is full of ink, the chip still disables the printer.
Ink level counter (program) didn't read actually ink at ink tank. Brand new cartridge ink level counter 100% (full), and ink 100% (about 10 ml). After may printing, ink will dry out, and ink level counter reach zero (ink out). Printer will not allow print anymore, even have refilled, because ink level read "ink out". For canon type, you just to release ink level counter, and counter just stop, but printer will allow to print. Press stop/reset button for about 30 second.
All catridges are made to show the ink levels only for 1st use, once you refill the cartridge you need to reset the ink level chip, some cartrides level cannot be reset, some can be re-set.
There are solution available for some specific printer ink cartridges on how to re-set the ink level.
You can google and loacte the solution giving cartridge number in the search field of google.
if you are using a refilled catridge you would not get ink levels right.
if you want right ink level use genuine ink catridges.
you can try taking out the catridges turning off the printer and turning it back on and then reinstalling the catridges.it might not help so if possible buy hp ink catridges.
