Return it if u can. I have a similar problem because the prong in the device does not set properly with the charger. It appears to have
worn over time. I have had it 18 months. When I contacted Altec Lansing they basically said it was out of warranty and the do not provide lifetime warranties for these types of problems.
I will never buy another product of theirs.

I'm having a similar problem with the same type of unit. Mine is 2 to 3 years old. The converter plug into the back of the unit doesn't fit tightly but I get no charging light when I wiggle it. I was thinking the battery or converter might be bad

Help!!! Is my laptop battery broken?

99% charge is still pretty good so I'm not sure whether the HP health check is accurate. The only way to check is to unplug the mains voltage and see how long the laptop goes until it shuts down. This will help REFORM the battery to a degree and MAY restore your missing 1% of charge capacity. If the battery lasts more than 1.5 hours it's still pretty useable - why spend? Also if you do decide to buy a brand new battery and the old one lasts the best part of an hour you could keep it as a backup. Good luck.

Bought trimmer last year...battery no good this year...will not charge

Check that your charges is working - charge light on the unit or test output voltage. If these are ok, you will have to buy a new power pack for your trimmer or get a battery specialist to make up one for you. This will be by far the cheaper option.

What are the Best replacement batteries for the Jazzy Select 6 and Where is the best place (retail store or online) to buy them? I bought the U1 Gel Batteries at wholesalebatteriesonline.com and they...

ggirl why did you buy a pig in the poke they should refund your money because the batteries should have a six month warranty. Now always ask for the date code on batteries you are buying they shouldn't be any older than 4 months old. There are good batteries out there but if I offend anyone I'm sorry but MK batteries are very good also Interstate batteries and probably others that I'm not aware of. The best way to insure good batteries are buying fresh batteries, Charge them before you use the chair and always get into the habit of charging overnite if you use the chair daily. Never leave the charger plugged in more that 12 hours and if you don't use the chair daily charge at least once a week and always put up fully charged. Mk recommends charging the batteries daily for the first 20 days. Never run the batteries or let them fall below the red light on your battery level indicator. Your chair runs on about a 5 volt range (26-21 volts) after that the red light blinks like crazy. If it falls below 20 volts the charger will not charge the batteries. If you take care of them they should last you 3 years or more. Hope this helps

I know sounds stupid but, I had this problem with my laptop. For months I could not get it charged. My husband finally tested our outlet plug and realized it was no longer getting electrical power or not enough to charge since the light turned on to show charging I didn't think anything of it. Happened to be the outlet. Try another and see. Couldn't hurt right... Best of luck !

My hp 530 laptop has suddenly stopped powering up in the last 24 hours. When plugged in and even when not plugged in an amber light flashes approx 5 times in the front of the laptop when the power button...

The problem could be with the battery. Try plugging the laptop in with the battery removed and see if it boots. If it does, then the problem is most likely a dead battery; but before you go out and buy a new one, leave the battery out of the laptop for about 24 hours and let it drain its battery, and then give it one last try. If it still doesn't boot, then its possibly the motherboard and the laptop needs to be replaced. Best of luck!

Just bought a second hand Canon Powershot SX100 IS.

Try cleaning the battery contacts in the camera first with a pencil eraser and then with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol.

Dead unit

My Quest2 has a short in it that drains the battery even when it is turned off. But the battery lasts normal 15 to 20 hours when fully charged and unit is on. Whenever the battery is completely dead, I have to place it on the charger for a hour or two before the unit will even start even though it is plugged plugged in. The battery can be replaced by the staff at batteries plus for under $60.00

SPS1 charging system

Borrow a multimeter and check the voltage (and current if you can) going to the battery while the unit is turned off. It should still be charging the battery if it's still plugged into the wall socket. If it is not getting about 13 volts, it's not going to charge the battery. If that's the case, then there's something wrong with the transformer, or another part of the charging circuit. The downside is you can't use the unit without the battery being connected. If the unit still works and sounds good even though it's not charging the battery, then just put the battery on a separate charger every week or so.(I use the SPS1 for my computer and love it!) Good luck with it. H.
