NAME DISPLAY
NOTE: Display Dterm
A name with up to 16 characters can be entered to display the name on
other Dterm telephones when making a call.
• Press Speaker key, Receive dial tone.
• Dial the Name Assignment access code and receive special dial tone.
• Using the keypad, depress the key with the desired letter to display the
first letter on the key. The
display will indicate the
numerical designation.
Subsequent depressions will
advance through the letters
on that key. The Dial Pad Key
TABLE can be used as a
guide to indicate the key and
the number of depressions required to display numbers, letters, spaces
and periods.
• When the desired letter is displayed, depression of the Transfer key will
change the letter to a lower case letter (default is upper case). Depress
the Hold key to enter that letter and advance to the next entry.
• Repeat the previous two steps until the desired name is displayed and
entered

Which NEC system is the Dterm Series i connected to? Normally you change the ext name in system programming, but I need to know which system it is.

How do you change a name display on an NEC ETW phone?

For an ETW phone, name assignment is done in system programming. Name change will have to be done by whoever does your system programming.

How to change name display

There is no user programmable way to change the name display on your phone. On NEC systems, you have to go into programming mode and access the memory block for extension names. Sorry.

I am trying to change the name displayed on my nec i-series phone. How do i do this?

Assuming you are not an NEC trained Tech and your system is on a IPKII, You will best served by acquiring the IPKII Instalation manual and the Feature and services Manual.
This is not the kind of simple change that the average end user should attempt although I would agree that it is a feature that should have been made availiable to the average user because of occasional movement in
any office environment.

How do you change stations names on a NEC Dterm 80?

ANDD if it's a NEC IPX 2400 or SV8500. PBX administrator will have to change it.

Dial 700>dial your ext #>enter name>press Hold & press Speaker

Adding/Changing Name to NEC multi-line phone

On an NEC Elite you must enter system programming to change the name of the extensions. Unless you have a PC connection to the system this is somewhat complicated. If you would like me to step you through the system programming, please contact me @ 850-326-0394.
