Hi.
Remove top cover of washer.
Remove rear access panel.
Slacken off the motor fixing bolts, and pull motor towards drum top.
Fit belt round motor pulley first, and then feed it round the drum pulley from the rear of the washer.
Tighten motor bolts just enough to hold motor steady, and pull motor towardsa cabinet side to tension belt, it needs to be farly tight.
Then tighten motor bolts securely.
Fit back top and rear covers.

Noisy bearings

ok, turn the nut at the back anti clockwise, i normally jam the pully into the cut outs in the drum, when you have taken off the nut hold the inner drum inside the outer drum and tap he pu;;y anti clockwise, not too hard or it will crack, remove pully, place nut flush with shaft on the thread and you will be ablt to tap the drum out without damaging the thread.

How to fit a belt to a hotpoint aquarius when the back cannot be removed

If there is a small inspection panel at the back where you can get to the motor remove that then remove the top lid of the machine. Loosen motor mounts and swing motor up and remove belt from motor. Now remove belt from pulley from the top of machine. Reverse the order starting from the top to replace belt.

Hotpoint Aquarius WMA32 - belt slipping off?

Probably it wasn't fitted properly. make sure the belt is tight when fitted, and at least 2 groves from either side at the motor shaft.

Am trying to replace the belt on a hotpoint aquarius wf240 washing machine. I have removed the 2 bolts which appear to hold the motor in place ( 1 bolt on each side). However the motor still will not

Hi. The motor is non adjustable on this washer. Tilt washer forward, get someone to hold it steady, and put belt round motor pulley first, then slip belt on drum pulley, and slowly turn drum by hand, feeding the belt on as you turn drum, be careful not to trap fingers, as it is very tight, this is normal, as the belt is a stretch type, this is the reason the motor is non adjustable. Please rate my advice. Thanks.

Hotpoint Aquarius WM31 Washing Machine

The tripping can either be down to a short circuit drawing too much current and blowing the fuse , or an earth leakage blowing an RCD. You can eliminate the motor when it happen again , by unplugging it and see if the fuse blows (without turning the drum). Most likely is the heater , but i cannot explain why turning the drum allows it to continue. It is possible a wire is rubbing somewhere on the drum pulley , motor or casing. If the machine will immediately trip again if you don't move the drum , try isolating parts by disconnecting and then retrying.
