Hi, I cannot find any buttons named "I have the same problem" on other questions so I post mine as new problem.
I identified one blown output transistor from the surround left channel although I was listening in stereo mode (but with high power output).
tech48 apparently know what parts must be changed when repairing an output channel (http://www.fixya.com/support/t761876-volume). I have schematics from service manual and I htink I can guess what to change, but I want to be sure if possible.
My guess :
- 4 x 0R22 between the two output transistors
- 2 x 4R7 linked to the base of each output transistor
- 1 x 2K7 and 1 x 3K in serial with VR1 (to adjust idle current)
- 1 x 2SC947F
- 1 x 10µF/50v (in parrallel with 2SC947F collector / emitter).
Am I right ?
Thanks in advance.
Fred.
Though any transistor(s) might well have gone and the capacitor could be changed, I see no reason to change any resistor unless it's burnt up or giving an incorrect resistance reading. A multi-meter will tell you if a resistor is working or not, if it's not dead or weak it won't make a lot of difference to the circuit, but replacing it will simply cost you more money!
