IP stands for Internet protocol.
It's represented by numerical code, which is assigned to each device like computer, printer, phone.
IP's are two types. There are Internal IP, External IP
Internal IP means that your system ip address.
If you want to know your system ip address follow these steps:
Start--->run-->Type cmd
Then command prompt will display.
type ipconfig
then it will display your system ip address
External IP address means that your network IP address. If you want to know your Network IP address then visit IP-Details.com here it display IP address, ISP,location, Longitude, latitude and so on.
To find your port number follow these commands:
Go to start--->cmd---->type netstat -a

You need to log into BT using your old address, since they don't know about your new address yet. Once you're in, you can change your profile to reflect the new address. But until you change it, they won't know your new address.

1. In the screen, select 'Where to?'
2. If you know the address, select address
3. Press 'Search all'
4. enter the address, then press 'Done'
5. Select any address shown that is close to the address you need to find, scroll down if necessary.
   
6. Press 'Go'

If you need to know the direction 'step by step' press the green bar on top of the screen. Scroll down to see the direction to your destination.

If you know ip address of printer then you can access your printer with web interface for that type your printer ip address in internet explorer address bar.
then you can access configuration of printer.
But if you don't know ip then you need to check network configuration menu of printer .
For that press menu button of printer then enter in network settings then you can know the printer ip address.

By default, leave the password blank.

Even if the modem/router you are trying to connect to allow 'dynamic IP' address resolution (eg. no need for coonecting device to know IP address, subnet, etc...), you will still need to know the specific 'password'/ 'Security Key'/Encryption Key for your specific modem/router Wifi coonection - I am assume that you also know the correct SSID (Broadcast system ID for Wifi) for this Wifi Connection.

then press enter then you het all ip address of your computer.
Like ip and mac add, gateway ipo and subnet mask.

First you put you PC on DHCP. You have to use the mannual to know its default IP address. Type the IP address in the address bar of your web browswer to get to set up. Here you can make the required settings, such as setting the IP address fo rthe router and DNS address for you ISP depending on how you are connecting to the internet.
