SOURCE: emachine E627-5583 does it have a built in microphone?

The best way to check is to click on Start menu> right click on Computer/My Cpmputer> Properties> Device Manger and check if the webcam is listed in it. If it is listed then the computer has Web cam.

Try this, 1. Check your Windows Device Manager and see if all hardware is recognized and installed
properly. 2. It might be that the hardware is recognized as a camera, but the right drivers are not
installed. The yellow explanation mark will indicate a problem. 3. In that case you can try to update the drivers. Right-click the device, and in the
popup menu select Update Driver Software. Then follow the instructions on screen, but
make sure you allow Windows to search the web for updated drivers.

Device Manager truly shows if it is installed correctly. Whether it works or not is a different matter. You need software to run the camera.

This laptop DOES have a built in mic. You can access the sound settings for the laptop in the Control Panel to be sure that the laptop is using the mic as the input device. Chances are the microphone is already setup as the default.

it should works automatically. If you go to my computer sometimes you'll find a WEBCAM icon: Double click to start your webcam.
In case that you dont have the drivers Go to this site : Choose Notebook/E/E627 to get your webcam drivers

I have Emachine and then the Model is E627.It have a webcam.\r\nI have installed the webcam driver to my laptop.but,it does not work.

Go to Device Manager and check whether there is a camera listed under 'Imaging Devices'. If that option is not there, there is no camera detected on the computer. It can be due to a harware failure or there is no camera in the computer. Most of the eMachines laptops doesnot come with a webcam. Just clarify this with the eMachines tech support before troubleshooting it.

Does an emachine e627 have a wifi built in?

Yes the emachine e627 does have built-in WLAN (Wi-Fi).

From the manual:

I have an emachines e627 and it has a webcam, because there are different models of the emachines e627. Most likely you have an emachines e627-5583, that model has a webcam. If you are trying to use your webcam there is a program that is built in called just go to "C:\Windows\Video Web Camera.exe". I hope this works for you

you can't, you don't have a webcam the e627 does not have webcam.

the best way to know im right, get the box and look at the spec where it says wlan, wwan, bluetooth and right there webcam it'd be NO.
