Hi, i am looking for hp laserjet 1000 printer driver for win 7

I used the HP LaserJet IIP driver off the WinXP x64 iso. Worked for the SuperScript 1400 in Win 7 x64.

Ok. The following method may or may not work for you. Please remember that only HP can provide correct drivers. Any other unofficial workarounds may work for some configurations and fail for some. this procedure helped a few users to install their HP 1000 on Win 7 32 bit only (sorry no 64 bit support).

If you find that this procedure did not help you, the only other way would be to purchase a new Laserjet or perform a dual boot with Win XP.

1. Remove any other HP driver fro this printer.
2. Download HP Laserjet 1000 Host Based Driver from this website and install it. Ensure that you can find it in C:/lj1000hb
3. Connect the printer now. It should try to auto install but will fail.
4. Go to Device Manager. the printer should have a yellow exclamation mark against it.
5. Right lick the HP Laserjet 1000 icon.
6. Select the "Update drivers" for the printer
7. Point the Printer to the location C:/lj1000hb. Or if it is another folder, point it to that folder.
8. The Printer should install and work at this point.
9. The icon for the printer will not be correct (it looks like an all-in-one),.. but the Laserjet 1000 will function 100%.

Now open any application like Word, notepad etc and try to print from it. If it prints then the printer is working. If there is an error, check if you haven't missed a step or try to look it up online or put it as a question on fixya.

Note that you only have basic print functionality (if it is that is) unlike the advanced features in a full printer driver. Remember to tell others if the solution worked.

You need to download drivers for windows vista. They are supported in windows 7. Go to www.hp.com, click on "drivers and support", enter your printer model, and download the drivers for windows vista.

Have you donloaded the latest driver from www.hp.com?

HP support has software available for Win 7 x64. Also under "Useful Links" there is an HP automatic driver "checker"

HP Color LaserJet 2550LN Downloads

HP LaserJet 1000 is not supported in Windows 7.

It will only work on Win 98, Win Me, Win 2000 and Win XP.
