In photoshop, press F5 to bring up your brush control window. Under shape dynamics and other dynamics and any other brush attributes you wish to control with your pen, make sure that control is set to "pen pressure" in the drop down menu. Hope that fixes it for ya.
Hi, I had the same problem with Photoshop CS4. I'm now on the previous version (CS3) and it works fine, just be sure to donwload the last drivers on www.geniusnet.com.tw.

1. Go to: http://www.geniusnet.com/2. Click on "Service & Support"3. Click on "Drivers"4. Click on the tab labelled "Tablet".5. Find your tablet model on the page.6. Select your platform from the drop down menu opposite to your tablet's model.7. Click "Downlod", then click on the driver's file name in the window that will pop up. The download of your tablet's driver will start.
Try here, this is the company's website, I downloaded there the version of the driver for XP, once you're in the site, click on "product", then on the section "tablet", once there you just have to search for your tablet model and click on "more", it will sen you to the specifications of your tablet, and there you will find the download section, you just have to pick the operative system you're using and then click on "download" to get the driver you need. http://www.geniusnet.com/geniusOnline/online.portal
You need to use a bigger brush. the highest level of pressure is the full brush size (i.e, it won't ever make it bigger than the biggest size you select). It seems to work percentage-wise from that (half-pressure=half-size).
Also, make sure the setting are correct in the brush pallete (check shape dynamics and make sure the Control: is set to "Pen Pressure). Note that you can change it to control other things instead of size (I frequently use it on opacity to do sketches in a pencil style, and it works really beautifully).
Oh yeah, make sure you change the battery too. Mine came with it pre-installed and there wasn't enough juice, so I put one of my rechargeable's in and it worked fine.
