Open your browser
in the address line type http://192.168.2.1
A login box appears and unless you've changed it the login ID is admin with no password.
If you have changed it and can't remember it you'll need to do a reset to default by pressing and holding the rset button on the back near the WAN port for about 30 seconds

I would like to know my password

Most routers let you log in by putting their IP address into the address bar of the web browser. however this can be done wireless but probably in your case, you might have to hard line to the router. linksys and cisco use 192.168.1.1 and I think netgear and d-link use 192.168.0.1 and Belkin uses 192.168.2.1...some routers require you to use login id and password before they let you use the interface. with older cisco and linksys routers it is usually ID/password admin/admin or admin/password. newer routers have unique login Id's and passwords that are generally located on a sticker on the bottom or the back of a router. once you log in, you want to go to a setting such as wireless security where it states what kind of wifi protection you have...WEP...etc. and that is where your wifi password is located....or just manufacture reset the router and follow the steps as mentioned earlier.

Help me with my belkin router

In order to set it up, you need to connect it to your isp's modem via ethernet to the uplink port (the one port that is by itself). After that, connect an ethernet cord to your pc or mac- you should be able to get online since the router defaults to picking up IP by DHCP. If you wish to configure it further, log into it by opening a browser and going to http://192.168.2.1
From there you can setup the wifi, setup port forwarding, etc.

Why do you want to turn it off?
Do you just need the password?
Whatever you wish to do, log on to your router, usually 192.168.2.1 in your browser. sometimes 192.168.1.1
If you have not set different log in details, you usually leave the password blank, if not google " belkin+your model number default log in"

If you mean what is your security key. Log into your router and set your security.
If using WEP security (Dont unless you have no choice, it is not secure) It gives you a passkey
If using WPA (use WPA2 if possible) you choose the password

How do i update the firmware on my belkin router?

On my router I have to log into the router while it is connected to the internet and select update Firmware. From there it does everything on it's own. If it ask for user ID and Password you can try User ID: admin Password:administrator if you don't have that information. If that doesn't work the only other method would be to activate the reset to reset the router to factory and then update and reprogram your settings.

OK..you need to log into your Belkin Router...heres some advice I gave to someone looking to change the Channel on their Router, the same will hep you configure what you need to do as well...... The Belkin router's IP address is 192.168.2.1
but if this doesn't work for you, do the following;
Open Start Menu > Run and type cmd
Press OK
At the Command Prompt type ipconfig
Press ENTER
Note the Default Gateway address that appears
THEN
Open your web browser and type the Default Gateway address into the Address bar. (192.168.2.1) no 'www' needed.
You should get a login popup. You'll need to know the ID & PW to log in or if you didnt set one, just leave the box empty & Press SUMMIT

See the options in the left side boxes...
Click on: WIRELESS & SSID
You will see at the top of the page a drop down box to select a new channel number...try 1, 6 or 11 first.

A word of WARNING: If you select a Channel (i.e. 10 like I did) that delivers hardly any signal...you'll finish up with no connectivity at all & unable to get back on the internet to change it to another channel.
DUH!
So have a wired connection cable that you can plug into the back of the Router as a 'back up' to return to the net OR place your laptop (if applicable) right next to the Router for maxium detection of a signal.
