Plugged in my vx924 19' viewsonic monitor, and it is just not receiving any power. Are there issues with this monitor that have been reported in the past?

Most failures are bad caps, and lamps, see picture here for guide so you know what to look for:

No power light - no power

Open up the set, check the fuse first then look for bad caps in the power supply, see example of failed monitors here: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

VX924 Blown Fuse

What are the symptoms? How do you know the fuse was blown on the monitor you bought? The fuse on vx924 is soldered onto the circuit board. If you have any symptoms that require power its probably not the fuse. The back lighting on this unit has a problem. Three 25v 470uf caps on the circuit board are underrated and have a tendency to go bad. Replace them with 35v 470uf caps.

Please tell me, how to disassemble it.

Please do not Open a Monitor, If the issue Exists with the Display Try with another Monitor ... If the same issue exist on more than one Monitor, then Troubleshoot your computer to fix it.
If the second Monitor does great then Service/Replace the monitor.
Opening the Monitor could Void the warranty if you have one upon it.
